Put a free car cost calculator on your website
Your readers get a working calculator without leaving your page. You get it without building or maintaining it. 3 tools, one block of code each.
Live preview, exactly as it will look on your page
How it works
- Pick the tool you want.
- Copy the code.
- Paste it where the tool should appear: a Custom HTML block in WordPress, a Code block in Squarespace, Embed HTML in Wix, an Embed element in Webflow, or straight into any HTML page.
The tool is served from DriverCost inside an iframe, so when we fix or improve it your copy updates on its own. The small script in the code keeps the frame exactly as tall as the tool; without it, the frame is 640 pixels tall and scrolls inside if it needs more room.
Inside the frame there is no analytics, no advertising and no cookie bar. Nothing about your privacy policy changes. Visitors who click through to the full version land on DriverCost, where our own privacy policy applies.
The one condition
The line under the frame (“Free cost per mile calculator by DriverCost”) is the price of the widget. Keep it visible and unchanged. Beyond that: use it on any site, commercial or not, on as many pages as you like. We may change or retire a widget; if we ever retire one we will keep the address working with a link to the full version. The results are planning estimates, not professional advice, for your readers as for ours.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes. There is no plan, no account and no limit on page views. The credit line with the link to the full version is the only thing we ask for.
- Will it slow my page down?
- The frame loads lazily, only when a visitor scrolls near it, and everything runs in the visitor's browser. It never blocks your own page from rendering.
- Does it set cookies or track my visitors?
- No. Inside the frame there is no analytics, no ads and no consent bar. Only if a visitor clicks the credit link do they reach the full site, which has its own privacy policy.
- Can I change the colours, the language or the defaults?
- Not yet. If you need the widget in your colours or another language, write to us through the contact page and tell us which site it is for.
- The code disappears after I save my page. Why?
- Some hosted website builders strip iframes and scripts on their cheaper plans. Check that your plan allows custom HTML; on WordPress.org and any static site it simply works.
- Can I put more than one widget on the same page?
- Yes. Paste each snippet where you want it. The resize script only touches the frame that sent the message, so several widgets on one page do not interfere.
